An informal Christmas Carol service to celebrate the real meaning of Christmas was held at All Saints Church The Parade St Helier, Jersey at 6:30 PM on Thursday 3rd December 2009 for members of Girlguiding Jersey together with their families and friends.
The Rev. Judith Davy conducted the service which included the following carols ; Once in Royal David’s city, Silent Night, Little Donkey, Away in a manger, While Shepherd’s watch and Come and Join the celebration. Readings were conducted by a Guider, a member of the Trefoil Guild, a Guide, a member of the Senior Section and the Island Commissioner and prayers were led by members of Rainbows, Brownies and Guides.
A retiring collection was made in aid of Jersey Hospice Care which raised the sum of £282.82
